Leslie Brooks Obituary

Leslie Fleming Brooks was born May 7,1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Amiel and Thelma Brooks. He was the third child born unto this union. He was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. Leslie was family oriented, he liked traveling, playing ping pong, shooting pool, playing baseball, football and watching gangster and western movies. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served time in Vietnam. Mr. Brooks united with Volura Elkins and they were blessed with a baby girl, Shireen Camille. Later he united with the late Rebecca Sarratt, they too were blessed with a baby girl, Ayesha Rèmir.
Uncle Les spent time teaching his nieces and nephews the ways of the world (what not to do). He transitioned from his earthly life on May 7,2019

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents: Amiel and Thelma, and 2 Sister’s: Radine Brown and Elsie Brooks-Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters: Shireen Elkins and Ayesha Brooks; his siblings: Dolores Griffin-Graves (James Walker), George Thompson Jr. (Freda), Donald (Davelle), Anthony and Bernard (Carla) Brooks, Michael Thompson (Wanda) and Rita McKenzie (Larry); his grand children: Clifford, Eric and Aaron Jefferson, Carl Jones and Mya Abdullah, his great grand-children: Obbie, Livana, Clifford Jr., Eli and Isaac Jefferson and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
