Christopher Curtis Dancy

Christopher “Chris” Dancy, aged 42, loving father, husband, brother, and dear friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2022.

Chris was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 15, 1980, he was the oldest son of Accandria “Candy” Dancy-Shirley and Christopher Shirley. He graduated from Warrensville Heights High School in 1998. After graduation, he worked in landscaping and continued on to work as a Technician at Millwood and USA Heat Treating. Chris was also a faithful & devoted caregiver for his mother prior to her death. On June 21, 2019, Chris married his longtime companion and the love of his life, Gabrielle “Gabby”.

Chris was a loyal and dedicated family man that lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with his son, playing video games, and just relaxing at home, watching movies with Gabby and being with his “dog son” Lito. Chris also enjoyed gathering & entertaining his close family & friends. He loved to show off his grilling skills, play bowling, pool, card games, traveling, and gambling; where he was so lucky to have won a large jackpot on his 1st trip to Las Vegas. Chris will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Chris leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Gabrielle Dancy; his son Christopher Dancy Jr. (Vanetta Gorden); his brothers, Walter Shirley, Cardan Dancy, Warren Shirley, Lloyd Shirley, and Terrance Summers (deceased); his sisters, Angel Shirley, and Christina Shirley; his father, Christopher Shirley (Latina Shirley); his grandparents, Elaine & Walter Shirley; Aunt, Barbara Dancy and his late mother, Accandria Dancy-Shirley; and a host of family and friends.

The Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00am (with the Wake Visitation at 10:30am) at Charles Taylor Funeral Home at 21900 Euclid Avenue, Euclid, OH 44117.ay be offered to:
