Patrick C. Whitehead

Patrick D. Whitehead was born to Nancy Whitehead Jones and Patrick Whitehead Senior on December 25, 1958. Patrick was a devoted and caring son. As a child, he enjoyed family time with his maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Arrilla Harrell, aunts, uncles and cousins. Patrick was young when his parents marriage dissolved; as a Pre-teen, his mom met John H. Jones from Uniontown, Alabama. They fell in love and later married. Patrick was an only child for several years; a brother, Mark Jones was born to complete their family. He confessed Christ at an early age and was faithful and active in church. Patrick attended Alabama A and M University; he was a serious and dedicated student. He was committed to his fraternity, Omega Phi PSI. Patrick earned a B.S. degree in Agriculture Science. In his formative years, Patrick spent several summers in California with his aunt, uncle, and their children. While there he enjoyed visiting several cities. He often bragged that at the tender age of nine he baby sat for his cousin Cheryl…..She was eight months! Patrick was the proud father along with his former wife Thelma, the mother of 2 children; Jessica Patrice Whitehead and Patrick Whitehead 11. He also was the father of Ernest Wright and Andrew Patterson. Patrick cherished his grandchildren, Memphis Kole, Javariel Shaw, Kashton Shaw and Aeviaum Shaw. He adored his children and grandchildren and took good care of them. Patrick was an active member of this Great Church, where he served in various ministries including the Deacon Board which he dearly loved. He often spoke of the brotherhood; your gifted and talented Minister, Dr. Larry Macon Sr. The entire Deacon Board are applauded for showering our “Love One” with prayers, rides to and from the hospital, administering to his personal needs, etc.; special thanks and appreciation to Deacon Lowell Watkins for his labor of work. “We thank you from the bottom of our Hearts”. Patrick preceded in death: His brother Mark Jones, Aunts Hattie H. Sam, Billie Clinton and Paola Harrell: Several cousins: Ernie Harrell, Jolene Harrell Hamm, Marshall Earl Wormley, (devoted cousins, Daniel Wormley and William B. Harrell), Ann Harrell, Dr. Albert D. Sam, Michael D. Sam, Cheryl C. Raphael, D. Leon Clinton and Tobi C. Clinton. On July 7, 2019 Patrick D. Whitehead reunited with: his Grandmother, Arrilla Harrell, mother, Nancy W. Jones, Father, Patrick Whitehead, Step Father John Jones, Aunts Jean Wormley and Mary Harrell, Uncle, Retired General Ernest Harrell and Uncle, Carver Clinton
