Sandra Joyce Noble, 81, passed away quietly on Monday, May 30, 2020 after a seven month battle with cancer. Her loving family, and Hospice of Western Reserve, comforted her in her final days. Born, June 28, 1940, to Robert William Noble and Grace Elenor (Ranft) Noble, she lived her early years in North Lima and Columbiana, Ohio.
She was a 1958 graduate of Columbiana High School. She went on to study in the business school at Youngstown College. She worked at Sheet & Tube in Youngstown, OH, first as a telephone operator, and then as a receptionist in the new Boardman offices. Most of her life she worked in insurance.
She lived in numerous location during her lifetime. She moved to Houston, Texas in the early 1960’s, and later out to Tomball, Texas where she owned and ran her own insurance agency. She would also move to Cary, North Carolina, and Derry, New Hampshire, before returning to Ohio to live in Streetsboro. While living there, she worked for Progressive Insurance on their main campus.
She loved her sports. She had many teams she followed because of the locations where she lived. She followed the Cleveland Indians, the Dallas Cowboys, the New England Patriots, and the Cleveland Browns. She was also an avid NASCAR fan. She was a giving soul, who gave to many charitable organizations, and who supported a child in Africa whom she always referred to as her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Noble (1988), and her mother, Grace Noble (2013). She is survived by her brother, Robert Noble, Jr (Mary Alice), her aunt, Georgann McMahon, cousins Billie Leigh and Byron Eichorn, her nephews, Justin, Jeremy, Joshua, Robert III, and Christopher Noble, and her niece, Amya Noble, two Great Nieces, and one Great Nephew.
The family is planning a celebration of her life at Locust Grove Baptist Church where she was a member. The date as yet is unspecified.
