Isaac Mitchell Jr. entered into this life on the 25th day of November in 1937, to the late Isaac Mitchell Sr. and Annie Lou Childs in Marion, Alabama. He was the only child born to that union.
Isaac Mitchell Jr., age 89, departed this life on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 9:21 PM at the McGregor Gardens Nursing Home. He was there 10 days before his death.
Isaac was educated in the Alabama public school system. He received Christ at an early age. He went on to work for Republic Steel in Gaston, Alabama, where he worked for 26 years. He later met and married May White; from this union was born one daughter, Rita, who Isaac raised, loved, and cared for with all his heart. Isaac loved his wife and daughter.
Isaac later moved to Cleveland, Ohio, with his family, where he became employed again with Public Steel in the Cleveland Flats, where he worked for another 8 years.
Isaac loved to do crossword puzzles and talk and joke with friends and family. He didn't play when it came down to his clothes. If you bothered, removed, or took his clothes, then you had a big argument on hand. He loved to dress. Isaac enjoyed going to the activity center, where he met and socialized with other people enjoy their company. He loved to play his lottery. He was a sweet, loving, and caring person who was loved by all who came in contact with him.
Isaac loved to have fun. His favorite words when talking to women were "Hey, baby" or "Hey, honey." He was loved by everyone who knew him because of the kind demeanor he had.
"Jesus has called me and I answered." Isaac Mitchell Jr., completed his journey it has gone from labor to reward.
Isaac was preceded in death by his wife, May Mitchell, his daughter, Cynthia (Rita) Mitchell, his father, Isaac Mitchell Sr., his mother, Annie Lou Childs, and a special aunt, Katie Mae Tarrant.
Isaac leaves to cherish: a special, loving, and caring cousin, Delores, and her husband, Raymond Moton, of Streetsboro, Ohio; his child's children; a loving friend, Mary of Cleveland, Ohio; a nephew, Brett Mitchell of Cleveland, Ohio; one niece, Breena (Stephen) Means of Columbus, Ohio; one great-nephew, Stephen Means II of Columbus, Ohio; his bonus loving and caring family and friend, Mario at Comfort Plus Group Home of Walton Hills, Ohio; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
