Pearl Theresa Norris was born on October 29, 1942 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Bertram and Earlene Thomas. Pearl moved to Cleveland, OH at a young age and attended Cleveland Public Schools. Pearl married Ivan Norris Sr. and they shared 3 sons; Karl Norris Sr., Erric Norris Sr. and Ivan Norris Jr. Pearl worked as a nursing assistant for many years at St. Vincent Charity Hospital. Several years after retiring, in 1985, Pearl pursued her dream of owning her own farm in Sarahsville, OH. The farm was her one true place of happiness. On this farm she raised many different animals that she treated like her babies. She loved her family (including her dogs) and treasured the time she spent on the farm with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and watching horror movies.
The Lord called Pearl home on April 6, 2021 after an unexpected illness. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ivan Norris Sr., sons Karl Norris Sr. and Erric Norris Sr., sister Theodosia Lawler (Alphus), brother Bertram Thomas Jr. and grandson Ivan Norris III.
Pearl leaves to mourn: son Ivan Norris Jr. (Menyum) and brother Everett Thomas. 18 grandchildren: Carmen Norris, Erric Norris Jr., Theresa Reynolds (Mike), Natasha Niemeyer (Mike), Karl Jr., Martel, and Tiana Norris, Nichole, Tricia, and Brandy Bruno, Asha Lane, Ebony and Christopher Cotton, Issac Norris, Ashley, Paul, Nadia, and Dahlia Payton. 25 great grandchildren: Devaughn, Mone’, Elyon, Malik, Darnell, Chanell, Terrell, Micah, Taylor, Kaedence, Brielle, Skylar, Isaiah, Amir, D’Jae, D’amir, Ta’Jae, Raymond, Serenity, Ky’Lee, Jurnee’, Mi’Kenzie , Isabella, Christopher Jr. and Zora. Daughter-in-laws Lisa, Gloria, Diane, and DeeDee; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
