Robert Brooks Obituary
Robert W. Brooks “Bobby” was born on October 9, 1938, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Reggar Brooks Sr. and Agnes Brooks.
Bobby and his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he completed his education through the Cleveland Public School System. Shortly after, he joined the United States Army. After serving his country Bobby attended several technical schools and began working for TRW from which he retired after 32 years.
Bobby married Ruby Woodland on March 11, 1983. Robert enjoyed sports, cars, and traveling with his father-in-law (William Washington), for the past 20 years back and forth to South Carolina.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Reggar and Agnes Brooks; one daughter, Tammy Brooks; two brothers, Reggar Brooks Jr. “Bennie” and Raymond Brooks “Buddy”; and one sister, Sharon Brooks “Baby”.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, he received his Heavenly calling. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Ruby Brooks of 37 years; his daughters, Shelia Johnson and Yolanda Woodland; sons, Anthony Brooks, Brian Wilson, James Woodland, and Sean Woodland; sister-in-law's, Willie Marshall (Dannie), and Constance Washington; brother-in-law’s, Melvin Washington (Jacquelyn), William Washington (Jayne), James Washington (Justine) and Terry Jones; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
